Episode 15 Part 3
Marta walks into her apartment. She's beat and exhausted. Viviana is at the table doing her homework. VIVIANA: Hi, mom! MARTA: (defeated) Hi. VIVIANA: What's wrong, Mom? MARTA: I had a hard day at work. Cornelio kept on bothering me and I couldn't think. I filled out all the orders incorrectly. VIVIANA: You filled the orders incorrectly? You never do that! MARTA: I know. VIVIANA: You said Cornelio was bothering you? What was he doing? MARTA: He was having fun with me. He was calling me names like "Honey", "Sweetheart". He was standing right next to me. I felt so uncomfortable, I couldn't concentrate. Viviana thinks for a second. VIVIANA: That's sexual harassment! He can't treat you like that. MARTA: Cornelio is mad because I don't pay attention to him. VIVIANA: It doesn't matter why he's mad. He's wrong. And you have to do something about it and fast. MARTA: What can I do? He's my boss. I'll get fired. VIVIANA: Talk to his boss. Cornelio is the one who will be fired. This can't go on. This has to stop. Marta thinks for a moment realizing Viviana is right. MARTA: Maybe you're right. CORNELIO: That's right, Mr. Cook. MR. COOK: (KNOCK ON DOOR) Ah, come in, Ms. Cardona. I, uh, wanted to talk to you. MARTA: I need to talk to you too, Sir. MR. COOK: It seems that Mr. Flores here wants to file a formal complaint against you. MARTA: Against me? Why? MR. COOK: Uh, sexual harassment. Suspenseful moment. Disbelief in her look. Total "see how you get out of this one" on Corny. MARTA: Me? Sexual harassment? MR. COOK: That's right. After all of your mistakes yesterday, you asked me to hide them in exchange for sexual favors. Marta cannot believe it! MARTA: You, no good... MR. COOK: Now, now. Let's not get excited. Just calm down. Mr. Cook is interrupted by his secretary on the speakerphone system. SECRETARY (O.S.): Mr. Cook, you're needed on the floor right away. Mr. Cook presses a button to respond. We see the P.A. gadget. MR. COOK: (to the PA) Can it wait a moment? SECRETARY (O.S.): No, Mr. Cook. Right away. MR. COOK: I'll be right there. (to Marta and Cornelio) I can't believe these people. I'll be right back. CORNELIO: Sure, Mr. Cook. Mr. Cook exits leaving Cornelio and Marta alone. MARTA: Oh, you are one... CORNELIO: Ah, ah. Who is smiling now, my dear Martita? Oh, don't look so upset. I'll tell you what. I'll make a deal with you. You go out with me and I'll drop the charges. MARTA: And if I don't. CORNELIO: If you don't, well, if you don't -- then I'll file a complaint and you'll lose your job. A brilliant idea. MARTA: I will fight you. CORNELIO: Fight me? Fight what? Uh? You have nothing. Nothing. Who do you think Mr. Cook is going to believe? Me? Or you? Marta is thinking hard. If I go out with you, what will you tell Mr. Cook? CORNELIO: Ah, Mr. Cook. Mr. Cook. I'll just tell him everything was a misunderstanding. So, do we have a deal? Marta is in a nasty predicament. And, just as she's ready to utter words, the Wizard appears. WIZARD: And freeze!
