WIZARD:

KARINA:
But Victor...
 
VICTOR:
Karina, please. Who is the man here? Who knows best?
 
KARINA:
(glumly) You do.
 
VICTOR:
That's right. Where do I sign?
 
Victor signs. He hands the pen to Karina with a look that says, "Sign!" She signs. Slick Ollie takes the pen and signs. He hands them their copy of the lease.
 
SLICK OLLIE:
Right here. And right here. Congratulations. It's great to have you.
 
Victor, Karina, and Max enter the Locksmith Shop where Victor works. His boss JASON sees them.
 
JASON:
Hey, Victor, Karina. This is your day off. Shouldn't you be out looking for apartments?
 
VICTOR:
We found an apartment!
 
JASON:
You did? Well, congratulations.
 
KARINA:
But we had a question.
 
JASON:
What is it?
 
KARINA:
You tell him.
 
VICTOR:
We signed a lease and it seemed very long. Is this normal?
 
JASON:
Let me look at it. Whoa. This is the longest lease I've ever seen.
 
KARINA:
(concerned) He said it was standard.
 
JASON:
(flipping through) I don't know about that. Usually it's just a couple of pages. You read all this?
 
KARINA:
(with accusatory look to Victor) No...
 
VICTOR:
What is the problem? It is just a lease.
 
JASON:
I think you may be in for some surprises.
 
Karina answers the door. It's Slick Ollie, wearing a NAPKIN in his collar.
 
SLICK OLLIE:
Good morning!
 
KARINA):
(confused) Good morning.
 
She has no idea what this is about. Slick Ollie clues her in.
 
SLICK OLLIE:
I'm here for breakfast.
 
KARINA:
Breakfast?
 
SLICK OLLIE:
(whipping out lease) Well, yes. Right here. Page 17, Article 96. Per provisions as described herein, said occupant -- that's you -- shall provide said management -- that's me -- before noon nourishment. That's breakfast at any and all times management desires. That's now.
 
Karina's face falls
 
Karina opens the door. It's Slick Ollie holding a LAUNDRY BASKET FILLED WITH DIRTY LAUNDRY.
 
SLICK OLLIE:
Here you go.
 
He thrusts the basket at Karina. From behind the pile of laundry, Karina looks at him skeptically.
 
My laundry. Oh, it's right here. Page 33, Article 190. Can you do it by 2:00? No bleach, no starch, huh?
 
Karina opens the door to find Slick Ollie who holds a SPONGE AND BUCKET FILLED WITH SOAPY WATER.
 
KARINA:
(seething) What?!
 
SLICK OLLIE:
This is for you. It's to wash my car. (referring to lease) Page 54, Article 317. (SNAPS FINGERS)
 
Karina SCREAMS!
 
The Wizard, spying on them from a little ways away, HOLDING HIS EARS.
 
WIZARD:
Ouch. Poor Karina and Victor. They signed a lease they did not understand and look what happened? They must do what the lease says. I'm sure they feel bad. They did not understand the lease before they signed. Let's go back and see what happens when they make a different decision. And action.
