Quantifiers are words that express quantities of something. Examples of quantifiers are: many, much, a lot of, any, some, a little, and a few. 'Many' is used with noun counts. 'Much' can be used with noncountable nouns, which do not have a plural form. 'A little' is used with noncountable nouns, which have no plural form. 'A few' is used with plural count nouns. 'A lot of' can be used with both count nouns and noncountable nouns and is used more frequently than either much or many. Use 'some' in affirmative sentences. Use 'any' in negative sentences.
